Some are great by birth, some rebirth, only few are born divine Those selfless, encouraging souls do always eternally shine

I know a beautiful soul who fits into all the above - born great, achieved greatness and had greatness thrust upon her at a very tender age. For her, greatness has never been a destination but a continuous journey without end. The legacy continues to thrive and shall continue to blossom till roses lose their perfume.

Her work speaks volumes about the influence she has created on the lives of many.”Sahayog Foundation Award” in 1993 was the beginning of many accolades that started coming in her illustrious journey and very rightly so as Hansaben has made tremendous contribution towards the education of physically and visually impaired sections of the society.

The amount of work she has executed with her brilliance in philanthropy for the Blind & physically challenged people is truly amazing & praise worthy, but difficult to emulate for any person.

         

Never say die attitude, honest, untiring in all her deeds World for her is one family, devoid of all castes & creed.

Every year henceforth, has been a year of felicitations, jubilations and celebrations for the good work and contributions made by Hansaben, be it the NATIONAL ASSOCIATION FOR BLIND, presenting her with the award, the most sought after The Indira Gandhi Priyadarshini Award . The list is just endless.

A very determined soul, Hansaben has transcended her influence and work beyond Mumbai. Her recent initiative in Ahmedabad for the visually and physically challenged in association with Sanskruti Manav Seva Sansthan has been the talk of the town.

Once again stealing the limelights in Ahmedabad with a very unique concept of a Reiki Hospital & Wellness Centre in memory of her Late husband and true guide Sh B K Mehta Sir, the centre has already started receiving accolades, reviews as well as patients.. It is indeed a dream turned into a reality with the blessings and support from Hansaben. She continues with her good work unabated, unaffected by the attention in the media, she truly is a selfless soul.

She tends all the hopeless hearts, she soothes all with her divine touch Imbibing the affection of her Grandmother Vijliba, so much

It is said... It's good to be blessed, but it's better to be a blessing... To be a blessing to countless millions, to be a beacon of hope for many hopeless under privileged, to be a guiding light to many visually impaired, who had nothing but dark future , ahead of them. At 96 years of age, she continues to serve these countless people with the same energy, same love & care, lightening up many smiles and faces every day.

Having been awarded multiple times including the Governer's Award in 2022, for her unflinching social service, I feel privileged to announce and present Smt Hansabhen Balkrishna Mehta with this DADASAHEB PHALKE INTERNATIONAL MOTIVATIONAL AWARD in the category of EXTRAORDINARY SOCIAL ACTIVIST AWARD for 2024.
